Labyrinth or Maze? A question of faith

On this page, I would like to share my faith walk, in order that I may help to bring others to faith in Christ.

I chose the title because last November, at a church retreat at Camp Montgomery in Florida, I had the opportunity to walk the labyrinth they have there.  The difference between a labyrinth and a maze is that when you follow the path of a maze, you will have to make many choices.  Some lead to dead ends, some take you where you are going, and maybe you never reach your goal.  On a labyrinth, there is only one path to the center, and as long as you stay on it, you will get there.

These two concepts are very much like my walk in faith.  I always have choices to make, some significant, some with little ramification in the grand scheme of things.  But, like a pebble dropping into a deep, still pool, I may not know the significance of any particular decision until a long time later, and it may not be at all what I intended.

That’s why my faith in Jesus is so important.  Through His Word, He is my guide, my comforter, my protector, my joy.  Without him, I would never begin the Labyrinth, let alone finish it at the center.
