Mares
Bandit’s Blu
Born in 1996, she was purchased from Dorothy Anderson in St Augustine, Illinois, in November of that year. Blu was briefly on the trail ride string, and has had three foals: CatsPaw (January 2000, out of Arabian Camelot’s Geronimo), Celtic Oaks Nualla (bay leopard filly by Ulrich’s Monarch) and Celtic Oaks JRJ Hero (chestnut fewspot colt, also by Ulrich’s Monarch). She is 15.3, a black fewspot.
Foals
Toby K’s Misty Blue
Misty, co-owned with Dr Autumn McKenzie, DVM, is a 1995 bay mare with blanket and spots. Bred by Lane Rhodes, she has two foals by Dartag’non, a black snowcap colt and a black non-characteristic filly. In May 2002, she delivered a daughter of Ulrich’s Monarch, a black blanket with lots of spots! And in May 2003, she gave birth to FanciPants, a dark bay/brown filly with spots on her hips, a daughter of Sassy’s Spotted Bear.
Foals
Celtic Oaks Nualla
Nualla is by Papa out of Bandit’s Blu, foaled 4/22/2001, and is currently leased to Kris McDonough of Tennessee. She is expecting her first foal in 2007
Foals
Celtic Oaks Triona and Monarch’s Aurora Heart
Triona was born on 2/26/1999, out of Lindsay Plaudit and by Papa. She has been lightly started under saddle and has one foal, a black near-leopard filly by Oaks Lyon Heart, owned by Indian Oakes Farm, Trenton, NC.
Also known as NoME, for her insistence on her sharing of the grooming sessions, she was born 4/11/2005. She began as a black with a blanket but shed off her baby coat to the near-leopard pattern she has now. She is a testimony to the best qualities of both sides of her pedigree: conformation, intelligence, sensibility, personality, and, of course, color!
JBCJ Abbe (name pending)
Abbe was foaled on 6/30/2002 and orphaned at 6 weeks of age. I took over her care at that time and we quickly developed a deep, strong bond. She has been started under saddle and will join the lesson string as her training progresses.
